Rufus & Coco Water Free Wash is a professionally formulated grooming powder suitable for all pets, especially those that dislike water. It is gentle on the skin and contains all natural ingredients to:

● Neutralise odour in the coat leaving it with a fresh scent
● Clean by absorbing natural oils and dirt
● Prevent static
● Add volume and body to the coat
● Save time and avoid washing in cold weather


It is also:

● Free from Parabens, Sulphates, Ethoxylates, Talcum Powder and Soap
It is especially great for cats and dogs that hate being washed.

Ingredients

The active ingredients in Rufus & Coco’s professionally formulated Water Free Wash include:

Calcium Carbonate – Neutralises acids and oils in the coat. This common substance is the main component of shells of marine organisms, snails, pearls, and eggshells.

Sodium Bicarbonate – Better known as baking soda, has been used as a cleansing and deodorising agent since Ancient Egypt.

Cornstarch – Absorbs oils and odours in the coat, the ground endosperm of the corn kernel.

Hypoallergenic fragrance - Where many fragrances (including those with natural ingredients) may cause allergic reactions in sensitive pets, our specially formulated fresh scent is allergen free and designed by perfumerers with the concept of the Australian backyard in mind, so it is far less likely to cause a reaction.



It is also what Rufus & Coco Water Free Wash does not contain that makes it better.

Rufus & Coco DOES NOT contain the following harmful ingredients:

Talcum Powder

Powdered magnesium silicate is an astringent substance that absorbs moisture. It can cause dryness, scaliness and flaking in normal healthy skin.

Importantly, studies have shown that prolonged inhalation of talcum powder leads to inflammation of the lungs, which may lead to lung cancer.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)

Sulfate is a harsh (caustic) detergent that can damage the outer layer of the skin causing dryness, roughness, scaliness, fissuring, loss of flexibility and reduction of the barrier functions of normal healthy skin.
SLS is an ester of Sulphuric acid

Parabens

The use of mixtures of parabens allows the use of lower levels of other ingredients while increasing preservative activity. Parabens are esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid.

Ethyoxylates

These non-ionic surfactants or detergents may be toxic to animals, ecosystems and humans, and can increase the diffusion of other environmental contaminants.

Soap

The alkaline nature of common soaps makes them too harsh on animals, whose skin has a higher pH than that of humans. Soap is also toxic if ingested.

Directions

How to wash without water:

First, get your little mate in a spot where it is okay if they shake.
Now apply some Rufus & Coco Water Free Wash to a few different areas of the coat, and massage it in for a few minutes.
Then simply brush or blow dry out the excess powder.

Do this whenever they need a quick wash without water.
